Silent Holiday Films w/ Live Music: A Christmas Carol and The Unholy Three

Composer Jeff Rapsis, who recently enthralled Crandell audiences with his live score of The Phantom of the Opera, returns on Dec 13 at 7pm to accompany two silent holiday films.

Opening Short: A Christmas Carol (1910), 11 mins.

Thomas Edison's early film version of the classic Dickens story features Ebenezer Scrooge and the three ghosts that haunt him during one long winter night.

Feature: The Unholy Three (1925), 86 mins.

Three sideshow performers leave their lives of captivity and become "The Unholy Three." Echo, the ventriloquist, assumes the role of a kindly old grandmother who runs a bird shop. Tweedledee, the "twenty-inch man," becomes her grandbaby, and Hercules is their assistant. Soon an incredible crime wave is launched from their little store. Starring legend Lon Chaney as Echo.
