- **Event Description**: Charters Towers Junior Cricket is hosting the U14 Northern Hub Carnival next week. This is a 4-day carnival where teams from Far North Qld, North Qld, Central Qld & Whitsunday-Mackay play on the fields at Mosman Park over 4 days in December (15th, 16th, 18th & 19th). Games are from 9:30am to 5pm each day - a little earlier on Friday.
This event is a fantastic achievement for our club to have representative cricket played in Charters Towers once again, and is also a great fundraising opportunity for our club, and we’d love your support if you’re able to help. There are several ways you (including our U15 & 17 players) can get involved:

Donate any baking for lunches – Each day we need around 64 muffins, slices, or similar items.

Help prepare lunches – Assist with making wraps and sandwiches for a couple of hours each morning (lunches need to be ready by 12 noon)

Morning set-up – Set up covers (pitches) and gazebos, check toilets, collect ice, prepare drink stations, etc.

Assist in the canteen – Help out for one to two hours over lunchtime. Scheduled lunch break is from 12:50, but may be earlier.

Help with shopping – Support with purchasing supplies as needed.

Help with field preparation - mowing, wipper snipping, marking fields, cleaning facilities, general repairs and maintenance, etc. 

A big thank-you to Bethel’s Farm Fresh Beef for generously donating sausages and mince for lunchtime BBQs!
