- **Event Description**: Join us this summer for group open water swimming!
Please note the following session rules:
• all swimmers will SWIM AT THEIR OWN RISK. This is not a lifeguard monitored beach.
• visibility buoy  (similar to this one with handles 
 [https://a.co/d/bSEYhCA]) and a bright/light coloured swim cap are MANDATORY 
• all participants MUST be comfortable in deep water and able to swim minimum 100m
• wetsuits are recommended 
• all swimmers MUST be TriPEI members - register here for an annual membership [https://www.tripei.ca/membership](https://www.tripei.ca/membership...)
• Every swimmer MUST check in prior to entering the water and check out after finishing their swim
• everyone swims with a buddy of similar ability and will do regular check-ins with one another 
• swimmers can signal for help by removing and waving their swim cap for nearby swimmers to see and assist if possible
• beginner swimmers will swim 100m repeats parallel to shore 
• advanced swimmers can swim across the bay (approx. 350m)
• check in 6pm, group enters water at 6:15, all swimmers out of water at 7:15
• swimmers under 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult with a kayak or paddleboard or a certified swim coach/instructor
