This event is an introduction to macroinvertebrate sampling and how scientists use this information to assess stream health. You will learn about local efforts to quantify our stream health and the ecology of macroinvertebrates. Most of our time will be spent collecting organisms and identifying them to gain an understanding of the stream’s biodiversity and what it may indicate about the environment. We will meet at the BGP stream near the railroad tracks. All ages welcome but structured for adult learners.
