The UVA Music Department is pleased to present a chamber music recital by new downbeat on Sunday, November 23rd at 7:30pm in Brooks Hall. This event is free and open to the public. This recital is supported by an Arts Enhancement Grant from UVA Arts & the Office of the Provost & the Vice Provost for the Arts.
Performers include: Dr. Caroline Sackleh, bassoon; Dr. Jiyeon Choi, clarinet; Julianna Eidle, flute; Hollie Greenwood, bass; and Dr. Angelique Montes, cello.
New Downbeat's mission is to present accessible, engaging, and diverse new music performances featuring women and gender marginalized musicians performing works by living composers. Our mission is driven by our underlying core values of community building, intersectional feminism, gender equity, and cutting-edge artistry.

New Downbeat will be in residence at the University of Virginia Department of Music NOV 22-24. Members will present a recital, work with students and speak about New Downbeat’s mission.

Historic Brooks Hall is on University Avenue adjacent to the University of Virginia’s Rotunda and directly across the street from St. Paul’s Memorial Church and the Bank of America. Parking is available on the street or in one of the many parking lots and garages on "The Corner", across from Brooks Hall in lots on Elliewood Avenue, University Avenue, Fourteenth Street and Wertland Street.
