We will be offering Improv I this spring, running on Saturdays from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm starting on April 18 and ending on June 20, and the cost is $250.  Our courses are appropriate for those 15+ and will take you from the basic skills of inspiring spontaneous creation to full-fledged group storytelling and scene work.  Bent Theatre’s Improv I class focuses primarily on improv as a comedy, performing short-form and theater games, but there is so much more to it than that.  During our classes, you will learn to:

•Embrace spontaneity and extemporaneous creation.
•Develop theater performance skills.
•Improve your public speaking and storytelling skills.
•Hone your comedic wit and timing
•Collaborate with other performers and develop teamwork skills.
•Polish your storytelling
•Become different characters thru voice, physicality, and personality
•Conquer your fear of the unknown
•Make something from nothing
•Play games and embrace your inner child
•Have way too much fun!

Improv I is not just for newbies, anyone at any skill level can beneift from the Bent Theatre style of improv. Classes will take place in Downtown Charlottesville.
