Beginning in 2025, we are proud to host this event in honor of the late Dr. Franklin E. Taylor, a decorated WWII veteran and charter member of the Albemarle County Rotary Club. This annual event launched as a Pickleball Tournament in 2024. The 2025 Pickleball Classic will be held on Sat, May 23th, 2026 at the Greencroft Club.In addition to scholarships, proceeds raised will benefit the Botanical Garden of the Piedmont, which provides hands-on activities for children in the greater Charlottesville area to engage in their natural habitats, develop nature literacy, and cultivate appreciation for the environment.Scholarships for StudentsEach year, five Albemarle County Rotary Scholarships are awarded to exemplary students in Albemarle County to continue their education.
