First Congregational United Church of Christ in Charlotte is starting a bimonthly evening contemporary worship service called 'The Evening Liturgy.' In these services we offer a structured liturgical worship experience combined with contemporary worship music. We hope you will join us for our inaugural service on the evening of Pentecost Sunday to celebrate what the Holy Spirit is doing in our faith community and in Charlotte.

First Congregational is a welcoming and progressive church in downtown Charlotte where you can be exactly who you are in the presence of God and a loving community. We are led by the teachings and example of Jesus, rooted in the historic faith, guided by the Holy Spirit through whom God is still speaking and moving, and committed to the practice that all people are made in the image of God and deserving of belonging in community of the Spirit. Regardless of your age, race, gender, sexuality, socio-economic status, or past - wherever you are on life's journey - you are welcome.
