They’ll learn to code, build, and program robots to tackle exciting game missions, all while developing problem-solving and teamwork skills.To fit your family’s busy schedule, the 7-week Robot and Coding Spring Program offers two options: choose between Tuesday (3/3, 3/10, 3/17, 3/24, 3/31, 4/14, 4/21) or Thursday (3/5, 3/12, 3/19, 3/26, 4/15, 4/22) sessions starting the week of March 2, skipping CMS Spring Break till April 20. Classes meet once a week from 5:00 to 6:30 PM, with the Thursday option featuring a special introduction to Python coding for students who want to dive deeper.Peer instructors empower students through problem-solving and hands-on learning, cultivating ownership of their educational journey.Our program will equip your child with confidence and critical skills valuable in any future interest. At Queen City Robotics Alliance (QCRA), we want to do more than teach coding; we want to inspire all girls and boys to use their talents and abilities to think outside the box, channel their ideas creatively, and, most importantly, have fun!Additional DetailsThe program will be on-site next to the workshop where 23 robotics teams meet and build their robots.This after-school camp is ideal for students in grades 4-8, and prior coding experience is not required.This class is led by peer instructors who are also robotics competition team members with experience to share for learning opportunities beyond this camp.RequirementsA computer is required for all participants. Contact QCRA before the session if a loaner computer is needed.Low-cost, refurbished computers are available for purchase from E2D (https://www.e-2-d.org/)TransportationQCRA does not offer transportation at this time.
