Charlotte’s most stylish architectural event is back, and this year, we’re turning down the thermostat and turning up the charm. The Mad About Modern Home Tour returns this November, making the most of the cooler weather as we open the doors to a curated selection of Midcentury and Modern homes across the Queen City—all in one incredible day.
Presented by the Charlotte Museum of History, Mad About Modern celebrates the sleek lines, bold design, and architectural innovation that define Charlotte’s Midcentury and Modern neighborhoods.
Each home on the tour has been hand-selected by our passionate committee of design and preservation enthusiasts. As these properties reach the 50-year mark, they become eligible for historic landmark designation—and this tour helps shine a spotlight on the importance of preserving Charlotte’s modern heritage.
To set the midmod mood, we’re also bringing classic cars back to the tour this year. Look for them at each tour home.
