                "description": "Founded in 2007, OEW felt compelled to respond to the Child sex trafficking crisis in the United States. A 2008 report written by Shared Hope International indicated that average entry age into sex trafficking was 13 years old, and indicated approximately 300,000 youth were being trafficked. The report specified there was a severe lack of shelter for these children and youth and many of them were being held in juvenile detention centers and treated as criminals. In 2009, through partnerships with service providers, law enforcement, community members, and Shared Hope International, OEW launched the OEW Hope HouseTM, a holistic residential care program for domestic victims of sex trafficking. It was the first faith based home in the U.S. for this population. Since then, the team has established an effective network of restoration and preventative programs under the OEW umbrella. In addition to the OEW Hope HouseTM, OEW launched Youth4AbolitionTM, Fields of HopeTM, and an international arm. More than 500 children and youth have been served through OEW Hope HouseTM and community based service and over 10,000 have been reached through Youth4Abolition'sTM prevention and awareness programs."
