The phrase "We are not a glum lot" is a cheerful slogan from Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). We proudly say,

Every five years, the Alcoholics Anonymous World Services holds a big international convention to celebrate the founding of AA. This year, in 2025, the worldwide celebration will take place in beautiful Vancouver, Canada! For those who can’t make the trip to Canada, we warmly invite you to join us in Charlotte, NC, for our local celebration.

In honor of AA's 90th birthday, we're throwing a fantastic celebration in Charlotte, North Carolina for everyone staying stateside. We want this event to be filled with joy and laughter, so we’ve planned a variety of exciting activities!

Get ready for sober socializing! Plus, we’re thrilled to feature four amazing AA speakers throughout the weekend. We aim to blend plenty of humor with our sense of spirituality.

Although this event is organized by and for AA members, we’re excited to welcome Alanon members too! There will be two Alanon speakers and a few Alanon workshops. We encourage family and friends to join us as we celebrate sobriety together. We can’t wait to see you there and have a wonderful time!
