There was an LA version, a Nashville crew, Austin, NYC, and even a Dublin, IRE crew, just to name a few. After years of late nights, delayed flights, and making way too many bad decisions in cheap hotel rooms in 2019 the band went on indefinite hiatus, totally unaware of what the future had in store.Fast forward to Nov ‘23 when good friend and former Ramones tour wrangler Rick Johnson talked lead singer Jeff “Jeffro” Holshouser out of retirement and tapped him to perform a tune with Lenny Kaye and Friends at the Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro, NC for one of Kaye’s Nuggets Compilation 50th Anniversary Show concerts — and it was just the shot in the arm ol’ Hank needed. Holshouser then reached out to the band’s lead guitarist and his longtime collaborator Sam Madison to get started working on new material, using all these events as inspiration. The group had new energy and needed players that shared the same vision and again, Rick Johnson came to the rescue suggesting they reach out to drummer Scott Carle (Dillon Fence, Collapsis) who came on board bringing bassist Eric Lee with him. Suffice to say Hank came roaring back with a vengeance and a drive to get back out on the road!
