Ginger Zee Speaks on Mental Health
March 5: Join us for an informal evening and dinner benefiting Atrium Health's behavioral health programs in our community: Ginger Zee Speaks on Mental Health.
Presented by Access One
There has never been a greater demand in our community for access to behavioral health and substance abuse services. Approximately 670,000 people in our service area have expected behavioral health outpatient needs. Unfortunately, as the need for services has grown, the funding for these services has been cut dramatically. As a result, patients are seeking care in emergency rooms or often waiting for extended periods of time for treatment in a psychiatric facility. Your attendance and contributions help to support the best behavioral health services for children, teens and adults served by Atrium Health.
Don’t miss the opportunity to hear from Ginger Zee, known to millions around the country as chief meteorologist at ABC News. With the release of her New York Times best-selling memoir "Natural Disaster: I Cover Them, I am One," Zee shares her personal mental health journey that took her from a depressed fledgling meteorologist to the first female chief meteorologist at a major news network.
