Ray’s Splash Planet is an indoor water park and recreational facility that serves as a destination for water fun. Ray’s Splash Planet, located on the campus of Irwin Creek Academic Center, in uptown Charlotte, is an indoor water park and recreational facility that operates as a partnership between Park and Recreation and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.
Waterpark Amenities:
-The Blue Comet - 3 story giant slide (must be 48 inches tall to ride)
-The Lazy River - Orbit around the Blue Comet on a tube and relax
-Saturation Station - Features four slides, interactive water play and a tumble bucket for guests under 48 inches
-The Vortex - A quick current pool that pushes a person in a circle
-Meteor Showers - Brightly colored buckets that fill with water and then spill over
-Moon Beach - State-of-the-art gradual beach-like entry
-Sun Drops - These floor jets are placed around the beach entry
-Sea of Tranquility - Two lap-lanes for lap swimming and/or water basketball and water volleyball
What to Expect:
-Certified lifeguards are on duty at all times to prevent aquatic emergencies. Please monitor behavior of your group.
-In the event of vomit or defecation, the pool must close for at least 30 minutes. If your party is affected, please speak to the Manager on Duty.
-In the event of lightning or thunder, the pool will close for at least 30 minutes and until lightning is out of a ten (10) mile radius. If the Splash park is closed for longer than an hour, additional swim time is not guaranteed but maybe provided based on availability.
-Children 6 and older must use the same gender locker room or one of several family locker rooms.
What To Wear:
-Swim diapers are required for children 3 years and under and for any person not potty trained.
-Proper swimming attire is required and subject to management approval.
Not Allowed:
-Food: No coolers, food or beverages in the Splash Park. No sterno burners or crockpots. We cannot warm food brought in.
-No open flames except birthday candles.
-Personal inflatable devices, pool noodles, toys, alcoholic beverages, piñatas, silly string, glitter or confetti are NOT allowed.
-No parties or outside food allowed in the lobby areas.
