John Brewster

is a free-spirited singer-songwriter on a mission to share empowering music, cultivate inner peace, and minimize regrets. Originally from Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, John's musical journey began at age of 5 when he picked up the violin at school. Growing up, sports took up most of his time, and it wasn’t until his grandmother handed him his grandfather's classical guitar in high school that an unexpected newfound passion for songwriting and singing was ignited.

After exploring music at the College of Charleston, Brewster made the decision to hit the road and start an original band with his friends. After a few years of extensive touring, John landed back at his parents' house at the close of 2018. He made ends meet by driving for Uber and eventually took another leap of faith to release his first original song in 2020. In 2021, John relocated to Colorado where he unveiled his debut album, '42°,' captivating listeners with uplifting lyrics, empowering melodies, and smooth and soulful vocals.

Fast forward to 2024, and Brewster has been sharing a series of singles, building anticipation for his eagerly awaited sophomore album.

Elizabeth McCorvey (Trio) - Folk Songwriter and Psychotherapist

I’m Elizabeth! I play a lot of instruments and I sing. If you catch me out playing alone or with my band, I’ll be doing a lot of original music and some covers I like...but most importantly, I just released an AWESOME album titled “Songs I Sent you” that I recorded Out There Studios , and you can find it wherever you stream your music! And tell me how much you love it, because I LOVE IT!

A couple things I’m extra proud of this year:

The invitation to play Woodsongs Old Time Radio Hour in August (watch the recording here!

Playing the Black Mountain Blues Festival in September

Bringing my cutie band to A Swannanoa Solstice in December

Being a finalist for the NC Folk festival “Not Your Average Folk” contest

Being a finalist for the Earl Scruggs Music Fest Banjo Competition.

And some other very cool things I can’t even announce yet! Stay tuuuuuned!

falllift

A weekly co-write and creative meeting began to form into something more as the pandemic stretched further and further. Micah and William, missing the outlet of their respective touring bands, had been meeting as a way to continue exercising their songwriting and fill the sudden void that was left by a world halted.

The idea of a one-off album had been floating around and somewhere along the way, it was agreed that a single album wouldn’t suffice. The two jumped head first into creating a new band built on balance, trust, and a shared passion for growth. This project flowed in a way that was undeniable. As the previous arrangements dissolved into the uncertainty of the moment, falllift blossomed in their place.

In December of 2022, the group released Sunday Sessions, the title an ode to the origins of their formation. The E.P. included 6 songs that spoke to following your heart, the places and feelings that are hard to leave behind, and navigating the nuances of relationships.

Since then, falllift has had two national tours, two sync placements, released several singles, and is releasing a new single in summer of 2025. They’ve worked with incredible producers, added world class musicians to the band, and expanded their writing to include the difficult conversations and emotions that can be conveyed best via song.

The latest single, “All Salt”, speaks to the climate of today’s society. Micah wrote the song several years ago, already fed up with the unnecessary disparities and corrupt intentions imposed by those in power. Micah wanted to see the people band together. After bringing the song to William, he brought the music to life in a way that supported the message. The duo played a show in Charlotte, NC where Bluz, a multi-national award winning poet, was on the bill as well. At the end of the show, they all decided to do an impromptu performance of the song which Bluz had never heard, but weaved his lyrics into seamlessly. In that moment, it was decided that the final recording would include his spoken word.

“All Salt” is slated to be released during November of 2025. In the background of that release, falllift is working on a full length album, headed overseas to make new connections in other areas, and making time for the things that matter most – loving their dog, Lola, stewarding the small plot of land where they currently reside, and building a beautiful community of well intentioned folks to harbor resilience and harmony with the ever changing world.
