# Event Details - **Event Name**: CuidARTE Music and Art class - **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 26 Sep, 2026 at 03:00 pm – Sat, 26 Sep, 2026 at 04:30 pm (-04:00) - **Event Description**: Family friendly arts experience for families with children ages 9 or younger for a family music class followed by an art and sensory class.About this EventCUIDARTE which is a play on the spanish words cuidarte and arte (take care of yourself and Art) are classes that are designed to help us practice art as self care and art as a resource for well-being. It is a series of different wellness topics that connect participants with a local artists or organizations with a similar mission using the arts. Some of the classes are planned so that while the children are engaged with an art class and sensory exploration station, the parents can also engaged in an art class themselves to practice self-care throught art making.All art classes are bilingual (spanish and english), if you would like assistance with a different language, please let Rebeca know.These classes are free! thanks to the generosity of the Arts and Science Council of Charlotte Community Connector Grant.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------September 26 @3pm CuidARTE3pm-3:30pm: We will start with family music class with the Treblemakers! Music Therapist Jessica Alberto will lead us to a fun and engaging music class where both children and parents are encouraged to participate.3:30pm-4:30pm After the experience we will invite childrent to an art station where they will create music instruments with local artist Sara Vargas and a sensory station created by Jess Meydell in which children are invited to explore materials and relax. Parents will be invited to create art in another station with local art therapist Rebeca Carvajal.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------Please note this class will be at a local farm space.
