Charleston Urban Works (CUW), through an expanded investment made by the City of Charleston, is excited to announce the organization’s expansion into the Kanawha City business districts and host the inaugural Kanawha City Village After Hours.
The evening will begin with a press conference announcing CUW’s formal expansion into the Kanawha City business district and highlighting the strategic groundwork completed over the past six months to reach this milestone. Mayor Amy Shuler Goodwin will offer remarks, joined by Kanawha City council representatives Chad Robinson, Bruce King, and Pam Burka. CUW will also unveil the focus areas and early initiatives outlined by the Kanawha City Working Group in their newly developed Project Plans.
Following the press conference, the first-ever Village After Hours will welcome Kanawha City business owners, residents, community partners, and guests from across Charleston and beyond. Attendees are invited to connect with one another, share ideas, celebrate the season, and learn more about the exciting work underway in one of Charleston’s most dynamic districts. Hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served.
This event marks the beginning of a new era of collaboration, activation, and shared vision for Kanawha City—and the community is invited to be part of it.
