Spiegeltent: Marshgrass Mamas

Hailing from John’s Island, South Carolina, The Marshgrass Mamas have been creating their signature blend of “swampy” bluegrass and old-time music since 2001. Rooted in Appalachian folk traditions and shaped by more than two decades of shared musicianship, this all-female ensemble delivers a sound that is both soulful and unmistakably their own. This December, they infuse their toe-tapping Lowcountry style with a holiday twist—interspersing festive favorites and welcoming special guests, including a spirited horn section. Known for rich harmonies, high-energy performances, and a playful stage presence, The Mamas promise an undeniably festive evening in the Spiegeltent.
