About the event

SCI Talk: Let There Be Light
Space glows with the echo of ancient light, an imprint left over from the earliest years of our universe. The discovery of this light was an important development in the quest to understand how the universe began, supporting the Big Bang theory, but it’s only one part of a complex story. Explore the current theory of Big Bang Cosmology, what we’ve discovered, and the many mysteries that still remain.

This presentation is led by our Planetarium and Science Educator, Shannon Silverman, who studies high-energy astrophysics with a particular focus on neutron stars. She is a graduate of the University of North Dakota and the University of North Florida.
