Join us for the February volunteer day hosted by Coonskin Trails Coalition! Coonskin Park's trails are built and maintained by volunteers from the community and we would love to have your help!
When? Saturday, February 28 from 1:00-3:30pm
Where? Gorman Shelter near Alice Knight Trailhead
(Rain date - Sunday, March 1 1:00-3:30)
For February, we will focus on clearing the trails of fallen limbs from recent snow and ice storms. Bring hand saws and loppers! If enough volunteers come, we will also do some digging on the Alice Knight Memorial Trail to make it safer and more accessible.
Don't feel like working? Come anyway and bring some snacks to share and learn more about the Coalition!
Come prepared with closed toe shoes, work gloves, insect (tick) repellent, and water. We will have tools available, but you may consider bringing standard dirt-moving tools such as metal rakes, garden hoes/mattics, or trimming tools.
Come as early as 12:30pm to sign the required work waiver and to socialize!
PS - We have Coonskin Trails Coalition T-Shirts! Volunteer with us *3 times* to get a free shirt!
