- **Event Description**: On Saturday, November 22, 2025, womanSong Chorale of WV will present our fall season concert Comfort and Joy in the Centrum of Christ Church United Methodist at 7:00 p.m.  Included in this seasonal event will be traditional holiday songs as well as inspirational music of winter.  Tickets are $10.00 at the door.

In this program we are pleased to present Glorious Life by Laura Farnell with text by Hildegarde Hawthorne, the daughter of Nathaniel Hawthorne, and includes a handbell choir led by our accompanist Lois Coffey.  The text encourages us to find love, passion, and hope in every experience.

To showcase our return from the Dublin Choral Festival directed by Jake Runestad, we are singing one of Runestad’s pieces called Rise Up, a very exciting original composition with text inspired by Susan B. Anthony.  The lyrics call us to action, to rise up because there is much to be done.

We will also be singing pieces by Rosephanye Powell, Dan Forrest, and Eric Whitacre, as well as jazzy versions of Bring a Torch, Jeanette Isabella, Winter Wonderland, and What a Wonderful World.  In many of these pieces womanSong members will be featured as soloists and in small ensembles.
