Charleston Market Tree Lighting

The Charleston City Market is pleased to host its annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Friday, December 5.

Join us in the heart of the Historic District as we celebrate the season with a festive evening for all ages. The Market will come alive with holiday music, a touch of snowfall, and special appearances from some beloved seasonal characters. Santa is expected to stop by to help illuminate our live Christmas tree, and performances throughout the night will feature The Hot Club of Charleston, The Charleston Caroling Company, the Mason Prep ensemble, and more.

Guests are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to support Toys for Tots. As a thank-you, enjoy complimentary hot chocolate and cookies while exploring the Market from Meeting Street to East Bay for last-minute holiday shopping.

This free, family-friendly event runs from 6:30–10:00 p.m. We look forward to welcoming you for an evening of music, community, and holiday cheer.
