March 1 at 6:00pm | Award-winning author, Patricia Polacco
Patricia Polacco has written and illustrated over 100 books geared towards children and the young reader, including well known titles such as The Keeping Quit and Thank you, Mr. Falker. In her presentation at Ashley Hall, which is appropriate for older students and adults, Ms. Polacco reflects on those people who have inspired her life and writing career. She beautifully intertwines family stories and school experiences with special teachers which are sure to tug at the heart strings. A Q&A follows.

Debra Allbery is the Director of the Warren Wilson College MFA Program for Writers where she has been on the poetry faculty since 1983. Her work has appeared in Crazy Horse, The Missouri Review, Ironwood, Iowa Review, Poetry, Ploughshares, TriQuarterly, The Kenyon Review, and The Yale Review, and she is among the poets included in The Broadview Anthology of Poetry, edited by Herbert Rosengarten and Amanda Goldrick-Jones.
