WHEN: March 14th & 15th,2026 
WHERE: Citizens Fire Company Charles Town, WV 245 Citizens Way, Charles Town, WV 25414.  
WHAT TIME:  Classes are from 0830 hrs to 1630 hrs each day with free lunch and snacks provided.  

All classes are taught in accordance with NFPA 470, 2022 Edition, and OSHA 1910.120, and meet the requirements for refresher training for Operations and Technician Level personnel under the standard.  Classes will involve "hands-on" skills with practical exercises which allow students to participate based on their skill(s) level(s) - from Awareness to Specialist.   Training certificates will be issued upon course completion.

Saturday, March 14,2026 - "Scenario Based Haz Mat Training" - Students will learn how to design, develop, and implement practical Haz Mat scenarios for teaching, building, and testing key skills for all personnel - Awareness to Specialist - utilized in Haz Mat responses.
Sunday, March 15,2026 - "Teaching Basic Decon" - Students will learn basic decon skills from wet decon to dry decon, including mass decon, gross decon, and technical decon.  Students will be given detailed instruction on prevention of contamination, the removal of decontaminants, assessing decon efficacy, and follow-up to decon.

Each student attending will receive their own copy of a 2024 ERG; a copy of the course materials; and a resource directory with over 100 valuable hazardous materials resources including the NIOSH Pocket Guide to Hazardous Materials and the Haz Mat Glossary.

Pre-registration is required due to meals, materials and logistics.
