The 1st Annual " Master Splinter of The Northeast Fly Tournament "
This is a " Night Fishing Tournament " on the Deerfield River and its Tributaries so alot of water to be fished. the Tournament will consist of two person teams with "ONE" Flyrod. One person is to be fishing while the other prepares to net a fish or grab the the person Fishing incase of a slip and dip.
Mouse flies and similar patterns are the only flies to be used in this tournament.
Brown Trout will be the future target species but this year all species caught can be measured.
1st 2nd and 3rd place will be judge on total length of fish caught added up, a tape measures will be provided to each team before heading out to fish.
The fish is to be photographed and measures while still being in the water. this is to help ensure a healthy and quick release back into the darkness.
Teams will meet at Zoars picnic area to sign in.
there is no entry fee but donations would be pretty cool and appreciated, they'd go towards prizes for placing and next years Tournament.
Hope to see some familiar faces and some new ones too. this suppose to be something different, fun, and to see who comes out as " Master Splinter ".
