Carrboro Coffee Roasters President & Coffee Buyer Scott Conary will be sharing his favorite rare & delicious coffees, as well as his first-hand observations & data, from his experience serving as a Head Judge for this annual coffee competition hosted by Alliance for Coffee Excellence and Associação Brasileira de Cafés Especiais (Brazil Specialty Coffee Association).

This program was particularly important for Brazil. For the first time, a Brazilian producer was elected as Legends of Excellence, an elite designation awarded to coffee producers who have consistently demonstrated exceptional quality, earning multiple Cup of Excellence wins over the years.

This will be the only opportunity to explore these award-winning coffees with the guidance of a Head Judge who has decades of experience assessing coffees in the prestigious Cup of Excellence competition.

The event takes place at Carrboro Coffee Roasters' expanded roastery at 1215 E. Franklin Street, Chapel Hill.

Carrboro Coffee Roasters has been working with Alliance for Coffee Excellence and its Cup of Excellence, the world's premier coffee competition, since 2009, as its mission mirrors that of CCR. For over 20 years, the competition has pioneered producer support, integrity and transparency in the coffee industry. The high level of scrutiny that coffees undergo in the COE process is unmatched anywhere in the industry, giving bidders confidence in the quality of COE auction coffees. Scott has also served as an Internatinal Juror for many Private Auction Collection (PCA) Competitions since the program began.

This cupping will be led by Scott Conary, Carrboro Coffee Roasters President & Coffee Buyer. Since 2015, Scott has served as a Head Judge and Instructor with the Alliance for Coffee Excellence, leading COE competitions in producing countries around the globe.
