Don’t miss the North Carolina Botanical Garden, and their affiliated Carolina Community Garden and American Indian Cultural Garden.Tour proceeds benefit the expanding Children’s Wonder Garden and programs at the NC Botanical Garden as well as the educational/community service programs of the Chapel Hill Garden Club.THE GARDENSThe Allison Garden (restored historic Coker Burns property) highlights Chapel Hill’s deep horticultural history, featuring striking rock formations, impressive mature trees, a picturesque cluster of mature camellia shrubs, and several distinct garden rooms that invite exploration.The Gourley/Euler Garden showcases ancient rock formations and more than 55 mature trees, complemented by both sun- and shade-loving plantings. A tranquil pond beckons with water lilies and other aquatic plants.The Huckshorn/Mazade Garden, once a tobacco farm, has been transformed into a series of engaging garden rooms designed to attract abundant wildlife.
