- **Event Description**: If anyone is interested in joining N.O.M.H.A.D.S. (Nobly Ordered Mindful Hikers Advocating Diversity Society) on a hike of Quartz Peak on Saturday (1/3) at 8am, start hiking at 815am. Of course, bring at least 3L of water, lots of snacks/lunch, and comfortable shoes/hiking boots. This trail is Dog friendly for experienced hiking pups. I highly recommend pants and gloves for this hike. AllTrails said the following about this trail:
HARD Trail- BUT absolutely DOABLE and WORTH IT!

Trail length is 5.6 miles round trip
2401 feet elevation gain
Estimated time to complete the trail is Six Hours (This will be an all day event).

NOTE: N.O.M.H.A.D.S. are not guides, you are responsible for your own self so, take your time, go at your own pace, and use your own judgement when on the trail. 

We will be meeting at Wild Horse Pass Casino and Hotel parking lot (5040 Wild Horse Pass Blvd, Chandler, AZ 85226) at 6:30AM to carpool/caravan to the trailhead. If you are coming from the west side of the valley, please reach out to Clara to coordinate the meet up. (Note: The road to this trailhead can be difficult to maneuver and having a 4 Wheel Drive/All Wheel Drive vehicle is advised hence the reason for carpool/caravan). If you are familiar with how to get to the trail head, you are more than welcome to meet up at 7am
