DFR can often rapidly identify and precisely restore “the issue in the tissue”.A key question to be answered with dysfunctional tissue is: Can the tissue interfaces tolerate shear forces imparted during precisely loaded and unloaded movement, contraction or lengthening? Straight downward pressure doesn’t reorganize tissue. It compresses it. Skin, fascia, and muscle all get pushed together. The tissue deforms, the circulatory and nervous system react, and sensation increases. But nothing shears the injured tissue so it can tolerate loading or stretching differently. The problem isn’teffort. It’s the input. Objective ways of evaluation, application and reassessment of treatment effectiveness will be presented.
