Grovestone transforms for one evening into an intimate Bayab Tasting Room, an immersive cocktail experience rooted in heritage, technique, and elevated flavor.

This is a guided, hands-on master experience designed for those who appreciate intention in every pour.

Led by Lavell Miller, a 15-year veteran of nightlife, culturally driven bar programs, and luxury hotel cocktail rooms. The evening centers around Bayab Gin, represented in the U.S. by Spearhead Spirits.

Born from African soil and inspired by the iconic baobab tree, Bayab is a gin defined by vibrant citrus, restrained spice, and layered botanicals that reflect its origin. It carries story. It carries place. It carries presence.

THE EXPERIENCE

Lavell will introduce the heritage and structure of Bayab and exploring how African botanicals, balance, and restraint shape its profile.

From there, you’ll be guided through the architecture of cocktail design:

• How acidity sharpens structure
• How dilution refines texture
• How botanicals express themselves differently when shaken, stirred, or built

You will craft three expressions:

Shaken — A precise, citrus-driven Gimlet
Stirred — A composed 50/50 Martini with elegant clarity
Built — A refined Gin & Tonic, structured and intentional

Each guest selects their Bayab expression and crafts their cocktails under Lavell’s guidance- not rushed, not loud, but thoughtfully executed.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds! To receive credit for a future cooking class, a one-week notice is required with a $10 processing fee. Requests must be emailed to loui@grovestone.com.

The recipes provided to Participant during the course of the cooking class are the property of Grovestone. Grovestone retains all rights to the recipes. Participant agrees the recipes are only for Participant’s personal non-commercial use and may not be sold, transferred or disseminated to other without the written consent of Grovestone.

Participant grants Grovestone permission to take photographs and/or video recordings for use on Grovestone’s websites, social media sites (including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, etc.) and in publications, promotional fliers, educational materials, derivative works. Participant acknowledges these photographs and/or video recordings may be accessible on the internet. Participant also waives any right to compensation arising from the use of photographs and/or video recordings.
