This beautiful evening of chamber music offers virtuosic string playing, fascinating musical discoveries, and engaging compositions. The concert is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Arvo Pärt, Estonia’s most beloved and internationally renowned composer.

Admission to the concert is by donation of your choosing.

ABOUT THE ENSEMBLE
The M4GNET String Quartet is a highly regarded and dynamic chamber ensemble consisting of four top-level string players: Robert Traksmann (violin), Katariina Maria Kits-Reimal (violin), Mart Kuusma (viola), and Siluan Hirvoja (cello). The four acclaimed musicians founded the quartet at the beginning of 2021 with the aim of offering vivid and meaningful interpretations of chamber music classics, while also introducing lesser-known works and new compositions by Estonian composers to audiences.

Most of the quartet’s members have been performing together in various ensembles for nearly a decade, but the decisive impulse to establish a permanent quartet came from the Chamber Ensemble Residency Programme initiated by the Estonian Cultural Endowment. 

The M4GNET String Quartet has performed at numerous festivals, including the Pärnu Music Festival, the Tallinn Chamber Music Festival, the annual TubIN Festival in Tartu, the Haapsalu Early Music Festival, and the renowned Estonian Music Days contemporary music festival.

The ensemble has been selected to participate in the prestigious international programme Le Dimore del Quartetto, within which M4GNET performs concerts abroad every year. The quartet has also taken part in masterclasses with several distinguished figures in the world of quartet performance, such as Simone Gramaglia (Quartetto di Cremona), Marc Danel (Quatuor Danel), and Peter Jarůšek (Pavel Haas Quartet).
