Day 1 (MTLD) HOME TO HUNTER VALLEY Tuesday 21 July 2026 Welcome to our 3 Day tour to the Hunter Valley to join in the magical event at the gardens. Following our pick-ups, we travel to the Hunter Valley to the beautiful Hunter Valley Gardens. Hunter Valley Gardens transforms into an icy adventure full of fun and frosty activities. On arrival, we enjoy lunch in the gardens and time at leisure to enjoy snow time! Next, we treat our taste buds with a visit to the Hunter Valley Chocolate Factory, followed by a tasting at the Hunter Valley Cheese Factory. There are lots of goodies to see and maybe purchase to indulge in later. We now head to the resort where we can check in and freshen up for dinner. Morning Tea from the coach | Lunch at Hunter Valley Gardens | Dinner in the hotel Mercure Resort Hunter Valley | 2 nights Day 2 (BMTLD) HUNTER VALLEY Wednesday 22 July 2026 After a leisurely start to the day, we travel to the Marthaville Craft Centre and step back in time at Historic Marthaville, Cessnock’s oldest sawn timber home. Set among peaceful gardens, this beautifully preserved heritage building offers a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Take time to browse the extensive range of locally handcrafted arts and crafts, featuring talented regional artisans, with plenty of unique pieces to admire or purchase. Morning tea is served here, allowing you to soak up the charm and history of this special location. We then continue into the heart of the Hunter Valley to Peterson House, renowned for its impressive range of sparkling wines. At the elegant cellar door, you’ll enjoy a guided tasting of several sparkling varieties before sitting down to a delicious lunch in the award-winning restaurant. With its beautiful sandstone walls, exposed aged timber trusses and sweeping views across the surrounding vineyards, Peterson House provides the perfect setting to relax, indulge and savour the Hunter Valley experience. Our day concludes with a visit to Tulloch Wines, a much-loved family-owned winery where four generations have been crafting wines and welcoming visitors for over a century. Here, you’ll enjoy a relaxed tasting experience designed to both entertain and educate, with friendly hosts sharing the stories, traditions and passion behind the wines before we return to our accommodation. Take time to admire the sheer size, strength and gentle nature of these beautiful horses as you learn about their important role in Australian farming history and heritage. This relaxed and informative visit offers wonderful photo opportunities and a chance to experience these iconic animals in their peaceful home environment. We then travel a short distance to the historic Plough Inn, where lunch has been arranged. Enjoy a hearty meal in classic country pub surroundings, the perfect way to reflect on the highlights of our Hunter Valley escape. After lunch, we begin our journey home, arriving later today after a wonderful three-day getaway filled with great company, memorable experiences and the friendly Port Bus touch.
