Grange Co‑op invites you to a our FINAL gardening class:
“Homemade Salves & Balms”
Herbal treatments are a joyful and practical way to bring the alleviating power of plants into everyday life. Beyond the fun of making them, thoughtfully combining herbs and flowers with therapeutic properties can create a meaningful and effective home pharmacy. Herbal remedies have been used for centuries to soothe everything from congestion and sore muscles to diaper rash and dry skin - and those traditions still serve us well today.
The list of useful plants is extensive, and the possibilities are nearly limitless when you work with what you grow. As with all herbal preparations, it’s important to research each plant for proper use, potential side effects, and toxicity - some herbs are powerful and must be handled with care. Styling, containers, labels, and the stories behind your creations add another layer of beauty and intention to your work. Don’t be afraid to experiment, learn, and play. A garden is already a place to cultivate food, flowers, and connection - why not let it nurture healing too? Nature knows. Have fun!
