Black Jar Honey Tasting Competition

Bring your 2025 honey (about 1/4cup to 1/2cup) to compete against other local honey in SOBA's Black Jar Honey Tasting Competition. Entries must be submitted between 5:15pm-6:00pm. Honey will be put inside a black jar and labeled with a special sticker to keep all entries anonymous. Attendees to the December meeting will taste each honey and vote on their favorite. Tasting will begin at 6:30pm.

Honey entries MUST be produced by your own bees between January 2025 to December 2025. One entry per person. Yes, a partner or spouse, and a child may also enter honey.

$100 for first place, $75 for second place, and $50 for third place.
