Registration opens at 1:30pm. Who can come? Anyone who participated in the READ-A-THON can come! Family members can join in on the fun too! How much does it cost? Elementary students who participated in the READ-A-THON are FREE! Family members can also enjoy the COLOR RUN for $5 per person. What do I wear? Wear clothing/shoes that are ok to get color on (preferably light colors so the powder shows up better). White shirts will be provided, but quantities are limited. Bring a towel, sunglasses for eye protection, or extra change of clothes if desired. Will the powder stain my clothes, skin, or hair? Most clothing can be washed as normal without staining. Cleaning off your skin and hair is similar to dusting off dry dirt. Most of it can be removed by shaking and dusting yourself off. The remaining will go away with a bath or shower. If you want to preserve the color on your clothing, simply soak the clothes with the powder in vinegar! Why are we doing this? The COLOR RUN is an event to celebrate the success of the READ-A-THON! Is it ok for me to drop my student off and leave? No, this is not a drop-off event. Parents/Guardians must stay with their student. How long is it? There will be a small course lined with several color stations. Depending on how many people there are, and how fast you complete the course, is how long it will last. The event should not last more than 1 hour. What if someone in my family gets hurt? We are going to do our best to keep the COLOR RUN as safe as possible for all of our guests. The Centerburg Elementary PTO and Centerburg Local Schools will not be held liable if any injury occurs.
