Bundle up your Adventure Team and come join us for the first Pet Social of 2026!
It’s the start of a new year! Time for fresh goals, calm pets… and maybe just one more sweet treat. Who doesn’t need more sugar after the holidays? New Year’s resolutions? Who cares! We’re celebrating progress, not perfection!
This month’s meetup is a sweet chance to practice your therapy-animal-level manners around friendly faces, new scents, and gentle background activity.
Sweet Mercantile is a pet-friendly soda fountain and candy shop in the heart of Czech Village. You can treat yourself while your pet practices their manners in public. Whether your Adventure Team is brand-new or a seasoned pro, this Social gives you plenty of space to spread out, train, and connect.
RSVPs required by January 29th at kingscreatures.com/pet-socials. Space is limited so every handler and pet has room to relax and enjoy the outing.
Who can come:
Pet Socials are open to King’s Creatures clients only, whether you’ve completed a consultation or are an active member of the King’s Creatures Adventure Team Club (KCAT Club).

What to bring and what to expect:
• A 6-foot leash (no retractables)
• High-value treats to keep your pet focused
• Water for your pet and poop bags
• A calm, ready-to-train mindset
We’ll focus on neutral behavior in an indoor space and relaxation in new environments.
A quick reminder:
There are no on-leash greetings during the Social with pets in the group or those passing by. This helps all our Adventure Teams stay relaxed and successful. (Don’t worry, I’ll help you explain why if anyone asks!)
Suggested donation:
Pet Socials are free to attend, but we suggest a $5 donation per pet-and-handler team to support Living Creatures Ministry, a nonprofit helping train therapy animals for service in Lutheran congregations across the US.
