- **Event Description**: In this class you’ll learn the foundational skills needed to start designing and making your own books. We'll cover some of the basic tools and supplies used for creating books and a few simple binding techniques (accordion fold and saddle stitch).

By the end of the class, you’ll leave with two complete books and a knowledge base you can build on for learning more advanced types of bindings.

Tickets are $18. Please register for the class at farmhouseartcollective.org/shop at least 24 hours in advance if possible. This helps ensure we have the correct amount of materials prepared :)

If you’re interested in taking the course, but find ticket price to be a barrier, there are a limited number of spots available for volunteer assistants. Please contact Missa by email at treeofliminality@gmail.com or phone: 812-219-6119.

Missa has taught book design techniques to a wide range of people, from casual art clubs to college classes. She’s designed and created books and zines for herself and others, and publishes under the imprint First and Last Draft Press. 

She is the owner of Tree of Liminality and Cofounder of Farmhouse Art Collective.
