Presented by Jack Shorr. After retiring in 2004 from 25 years of teaching, much of it with Portland Public Schools, Jack became a Master Gardener in 2006, and a Master Naturalist in 2012. Jack has volunteered with West Multnomah Soil and Water Conservation District pollinator monitoring efforts, the Backyard Habitat Certification Program, and the Pacific Northwest Bumble Bee Atlas.

OSU Extension Master Gardeners are volunteer educators, neighbors, and on-the-ground researchers who serve their community with solid training in science-based, sustainable gardening and a love of lifelong learning.
