Join the Oregon Chorale for our annual holiday concert, Comfort & Joy, on Sunday, December 7 at 4pm at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Beaverton! Bring your family and friends for a joyful, multi-generational program featuring singers and musicians of all ages.
This year’s concert brings together
• string players from the Metropolitan Youth Symphony
• percussionists from Portland State Percussion Ensemble
• our own Vocal Jazz Choir
• guest high school choirs from ACMA (Dec 6) and Southridge (Dec 7)
What you’ll hear:
• Big combined pieces for choir, strings, percussion, and student choirs — including Holst’s Christmas Day
• Beautiful a cappella works by Rachmaninoff, Jessica French, Joseph Twist, and others
• Folk and seasonal music from around the world, plus a cappella and contemporary favorites
• An audience sing-along in Sing We Joyous and a massed-choir Peace, Peace leading into Silent Night
It’s a warm, uplifting way to start the holiday season — we’d love to have you with us.
