Campfire Talk: Historic Foodways
What was cooking in Texas like 200 years ago? What about 1000 years ago?

Join a ranger around the campfire to learn what people throughout Texas history ate and how they prepared their food. Don't forget to round out the evening with a free S'more!


When: Friday, March 27th, 2026 from 4:00pm-5:00pm

Where: Fire Pit at Penn Farm

Bring: Water and a snack if you need one and dress for the weather!

Cost: Free with $7 per person park entry fee or presentation of a Texas State Parks Pass. Children 12 and under are free to enter the park.
