Birdy Young is a singer-songwriter and Nashville Recording Artist hailing from a small town in central Iowa. From a young age, Birdy discovered her passion for music and began honing her craft, eventually taking the leap to pursue music as a full-time professional in the fall of 2022.
Her musical journey began with sneaking into bars and clubs for karaoke at just 17 years old. This passion for music led her to Nashville, where she recorded her debut album with the legendary producer Richard Donahue at the tender age of 19. Despite facing adversity and being turned away from music row for not fitting the conventional "look" of a music industry star, Birdy persevered and continued to follow her dreams.
In 2017, tragedy struck when Birdy and her family were involved in a fatal truck and horse trailer rollover accident that turned her life upside down, both physically and mentally. Despite the challenges she faces on a daily basis, Birdy maintains a positive outlook on life and continues to inspire others with her resilience and determination.
It wasn't until 2020 that Birdy rediscovered her love of writing poetry and soon began writing songs to cope with navigating her new way of life.
As a proud member of Midwest CMO and the creative force behind Hideaway Honey, Birdy Young is dedicated to sharing her music and message with the world. Her unique blend of storytelling and soulful vocals captivate audiences, making her a rising star in the music industry.
Her highly anticipated first album as a songwriter titled "Wild Child" is due for release in Jan of 2025 and will include 3 tracks that are currently available on all streaming platforms.
