Alert the MEDIA, attend RAISE YOUR VOICE to celebrate the MISSION SISTERHOOD and the BLISS which comes from hanging out with your fellow Girl Scouts!
During the teen leadership conference at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, girls in middle and high school will experience college, get creative, and learn from impactful guest speakers about making the world a better place.
Cadettes (grades 7-8) will earn the MEDIA Journey by exploring the messages they view on social media and the impact of these messages on their lives. Activities to include: painted rock photo holder, "Mirror Talk" art project, and more.
Seniors (grades 9-10) will earn MISSION SISTERHOOD Journey by exploring and identifying their network of female support. We will also look at worldwide gender issues to create our take action project. Activities will include: Exploring Zentangle with a Celtic Sister Knot, interview with a Sorority group, and more.
Ambassadors (grades 11-12) will earn BLISS Journey and College Knowledge Badge by exploring their dreams and making a plan to achieve them. Activities will include creating a dream catcher bracelet, micro pauses and more.
Adults also have the opportunity to network with other leaders, learn best practices for working with teens, and earning High Award.
*girls must complete sixth grade to attend the conference
