Mirrors are powerful objects, but they’re so commonplace we usually take them for granted. Mirrors can be used to see the tiniest organisms - and also the farthest galaxies.  The mirror in the James Webb Space Telescope collects photons of light that came soon after the Big Bang giving us the power to peer closer to the beginning of the universe than ever before.
 
What does one really see when one looks into a mirror. Is it real? Is it a gateway to the multiverse?

Images are inverted when looking at a concave mirror from a distance but suddenly the image transforms when we come close enough and we can see our reflection turn upright and magnified, unsteady, turning back upside down the moment we back away. Mirrors have been used to trick the eye for centuries because they never seem to lose this magical quality. 

We use mirrors to see how we look to others. Our image may appear to be a perfect representation of ourselves until we notice that something’s very odd about the reflection - words and letters and objects are reversed. Yet we often judge our reflection too harshly, noticing the tiniest flaws, a blemish here, a wrinkle there.
We must try to be more kind when looking at our own reflection because what we see may be distorted. And remember that the face you see in the mirror is your most loyal friend. It will always be with you for the rest of your life. “Ang Dagway sa Samin, Imong Higala”
