Broomapullooza Community Work Day on Fort Ross Road!
Saturday, March 28th 10:00am
22940 Fort Ross Road, Cazadero, CA 95421
Join Coast Ridge Community Forest and our partners for a fun, hands-on day tackling invasive broom along Fort Ross Road.
-Learn hands-on management techniques from Jason Mills (Ecological Solutions) and how these strategies can be applied on your own property
-Put your strength to the test in our "Who Can Pull the Most Broom" contest, with prizes generously donated by local vendors
-Lunch will provided by PPI, with snacks and refreshments available throughout the day
-And, if that weren't enough, local musicians Gayle and Wanda will entertain us with their eclectic blend of acoustic favorites!
We'll have broom pullers but bring gloves (leather is best), water, layers, and good vibes. Park at the large pullout along Fort Ross Road at Brain Ridge Road (additional parking along the driveway to PPI). Let's make a dent in the broom invasion - together!
This event is part of CRCF's 2026 Forest Stewardship Series, bringing land managers and community together to raise awareness and highlight the need for funding to treat the broom invasion along our rural roads!
