Lots of people took advantage of the early registration discounts! Price will continue to increase leading up to event!
Men’s, Women’s and Mixed Groups will be created after registration closes. Groups sizes will range from 4 to 21 teams, with the larger groups divided in age brackets and into Pools. All teams will be scheduled for a minimum of 5+ games, and if you make the bracket you will play more.
There will also be leveled and age brackets available for SKINNY SINGLES! If you haven't played this before- give it a try!! Skinny singles add on is only $15
We are excited to partner with our local Adaptive Pickleball group and they will having a competitive exhibition Sunday from 12-2 during our event! Please come out and support these athletes and cheer them on while they compete in their own tournament and skills challenge! Reach out if you would like to volunteer at this of any other Adaptive pickleball event!
If you DO NOT have a rating or you only have a handful of games and you feel your rating is high/low, please let the Tournament Director know what your rating should be. This will help us put you in the most competitive group for your level.
Bracket Ratings: 3.0 = Under 3.5 / 3.5 = Under 4.0 / 4.0 = Under 4.5. Register for the bracket according to the highest rated Partner.
Example: If the partners are a 3.3 and a 3.7, they should register for 3.5.
*** Can "play up" but no more than .5 above rating (A 3.4 can play 3.5 but not 4.0) TD may make an override if low reliability exist on a case by case basis.
No Rating Scenario: If you do not have a rating when you register:
- Please register for the bracket that best fits your current team skill level and contact the tournament director if you have any questions
Scoring Format: Traditional (Side out) scoring unless weather/time dictates a need to change formats. TD will make final decision
All brackets will consist of a round robin into brackets.
Minimum Games: Each team will be scheduled for at least 5 games.
Score Tracking: Pickleball Charleston will record All game scores in DUPR.
Event Combining: Depending on the number of teams:
Events may be combined based on skill level or age to ensure a better playing experience.
Players may enter both gender doubles and mixed brackets as start times are on separate days. Larger skill brackets will be broken down into smaller age brackets as registrations dictate.
Bracket Formation:
Initial Setup: Teams will first compete in a Round Robin format.
Skill Level Adjustments: Skill levels may be mixed during the Round Robin. After this phase, teams will be split into two separate brackets based on their Round Robin standings.
Separate Brackets: Each bracket will have its own winners and medalists.
Bracket Format:
The specific format for each bracket will be determined based on the number of teams and will be provided a week before the event.

NOT REPORTED!! Must be below 5.8 DUPR to register. Saturday afternoon start time. Round robin into bracket.
$100 from each registration going towards prize pool! (currently $130 plus cc fee but increases closer to event)
1st: 50%
2nd: 25%
3rd: 15%
4th: 10%
ie: 8 teams will have $1600 prize pool paying out: $800 to first place team, $400 2nd, $240 third, $160 4th.
10 teams would have $2000 prize pool paying out $1000 to first, $500, $300, $200
