The Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area is a jewel in Maricopa County’s regional park system. The multi-use area includes hiking, biking, and horseback riding on eight trails and a segment of the 315-mile Maricopa Trail. The park also has historical significance, containing nearly 90 archaeological sites used by the Hohokam Indians between 700 and 1200 A.D. Hohokam petroglyphs are scattered throughout the area.
