This unique program, designed and implemented by the local charity OPEN HARTS (www.openharts.org) and financially supported with funding from the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal  (www.frrr.org.au ) brings together local band DMD (Dave Tweedie - guitar, Aiden Haworth - drums and Doug Skipper - didgeridoo) in a celebration of original music, uplifting live performance and community connection and wellbeing.
 
DMD Bio:
 
DMD (Dave Tweedie – guitar, Aiden Haworth – drums and Doug Skipper – didgeridoo) creates a sonic alchemy through the fusion of didgeridoo, guitar, and drums. Born from a desire to bridge ancient sounds with contemporary innovation, DMD crafts deeply rhythmic and atmospheric music that defies easy categorisation. The resonant drones and percussive rhythms of the didgeridoo lay a primal foundation, over which the drums build both a nuanced and driving beat. The electric and acoustic guitar adds layers of hypnotic melody, ambient textures and raw power. DMD’s largely improvised sound weaves meditative soundscapes, melodic grooves and high-energy tribal beats into a sonic tapestry of rhythm and resonance.
