Scalea – Calabria – Italy

Authentic traditional Wu 武 style Taijiquan (Tai Chi Chuan, in short Tai Chi) from its craddle – Guangfu town in Yongnian prefecture, Hebei province, China. Transmission from granmaster Zhai Weichuan.

Under auspices of Yongnian Yuxiang Taiji Institute established by grandmaster Zhai Weichuan in Guangfu, China. Master Zhai Weichuan’s disciple Andrzej Kalisz, who is the director of Yongnian Yuxiang Taiji Institute – Europe will teach personally. Visits of Zhai Weichuan’s son – master Zhai Shizong are also possible in the future, provided there will be people interested.

There will be a small free introductory workshop on Saturday 20th and an intensive free training course 22nd-27th June.

This course is intended for three groups of people:

those who want to learn basics of Wu 武 style Taijiquan from master Zhai Weichuan’s transmission,
those who already practice this style and want to become certified instructors of the Yongnian Yuxiang Taiji Institute – Europe.
those who are already instructors of other Taijiquan styles and schools or instructors of other martial arts (especially chinese internal arts) and want to teach also Wu 武 style Taijiquan, being certified by Yongnian Yuxiang Taiji Institute – Europe.
The course will cover some basic excercises and a short 13 movements form.

The course will end with an exam, after which, depending on the result, the participant can receive appriopriate certificate (the training and exam is free, there are only certification fees):

participation certificate (participation in all classes 22-27 June, serious attitude during classes and exam),
as above plus level one student certificate (passable execution of the basic excercises and form),
as above plus level one instructor certificate (very good execution of the basic excercises and form, proper body method – shenfa, proper eyes work – yanshen, knowledge of Wu style characteristics and principles, knowledge of the basics of teaching Wu style Taijiquan).
The certificates are being issued in PDF form by Andrzej Kalisz, “Yiquan Academy” Martial Arts Center, representing Yongnian Yuxiang Taiji Institute in Europe. The instructor’s certificates, in printed form, will be additionally signed and stamped by master Zhai Shizong, the director of the China headquarters of Yongnian Yuxiang Taiji Institute. The certified instructors can be listed on the affiliates page of wutaiji.online website.

Training place and time (can be modified slightly):

Area of Torre Talao, central part of Scalea, near the beach. On Saturday 20th 8:00-10:00. From Monday 22nd till Friday 26th mornings classes about 8:00-10:00, evening classes about 18:00-20:00. On Saturday 27th the exam about 8:00-11:00.

- participation certificate – 10 Euro,
- as above plus level one student certificate – 50 Euro
- as above plus level one instructor certificate – 140 Euro.
