What began in 2012 as a casual holiday scrimmage among friends has grown into a full community celebration and one of the Kootenays' favorite holiday traditions. A day where hockey, nostalgia, and holiday spirit come together to raise funds for local families, youth sports, and community initiatives.
The Christmas Classic is more than a game… it’s a reunion, a fundraiser, and a feel-good holiday tradition built on camaraderie, giving back, and just the right amount of festive chaos. ❤️
Join us on December 23rd at the Castlegar Complex for a full day of hockey and holiday fun:

• MAX Ice Hockey Game – 3:00PM
• Beer Gardens Open – 3:00PM
• Old Timers Hockey Game - 4:45PM
• Christmas Classic Game – 6:30PM
• The Classic Lounge – 8:30PM
• Classic Dance – 10:30PM
• Safe Rides Home by Kootenay Charters – from 11:00PM
